Five Sixty: Dinner with a view at the Reunion Tower in Dallas

The grand dame of Dallas skyline views reopened as the GeO-Deck in fall 2013, after the original observation deck had been closed for several years for renovations. There is a revolving dining room atop the Reunion Tower – Five Sixty and is the top destination for Asian fusion cuisine not to mention the best view in Dallas.

Inside the big sparkly ball, you will discover a delightful space with great interactive activities to acquaint you with the city. It is the perfect place to take out of town visitors. There are cameras hooked into interactive screens that let you zoom in on downtown streets, and the best overall view of Dealey Plaza, among other Dallas views. On a clear day, you can even see AT&T Stadium, 18 miles to the west.  Get tickets here.

Dinner at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck at the Reunion Tower

It’s hard not to get excited about going to Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck (currently closed) – there’s the dizzying ride up 560 feet in a glass elevator, then the spectacular views of Dallas as the dining room slowly revolves.  Plan for dinner around sunset and it is beautiful to watch the sun cast a glow on the downtown building before all lights are turned on.

At Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck, the craft cocktails are impressive and desserts fabulous, we were not wowed by the main course but the dazzling views of the city that slowly moves through the course of the dinner makes up for it though! We saw a few birthday celebrations and a proposal happen while we were there. It is an exciting night out spot for tourists and visitors looking for the best of what the city has to offer and a must stop for every Dallasites at least once!
