Looking for some Rose, Lavender, Red velvet or Strawberry cheesecake macs, Chelles got you covered. If you didn’t know. French macaron (with one ‘o’ not two) is an almond meringue cookie filled with different flavors. They are made from almond meal, so they are gluten-free… While you pick up a dozen of these beauties from their craft kitchen, make sure to try their chocolate covered Oreo – it is addicting.

Mozarts Bakery

This is a local all time favorite place for desserts like Tiramisu, Black forest or Oreo cake inside Suburbia. They have amazing baked goodies- almond croissants that are flaky and filled with almond cream that is not too sweet, just perfect.  You can find Asian options like red bean cakes as well. They also have a good selection of French macarons, no fancy packaging but they taste awesome.

Dude Sweet Chocolate

Dude, Sweet chocolate carries unique chocolate creations with uncommon ingredients to create one of a kind potions, tubs of chocolate and truffles named Crack in a Box, Flower child and Diwali.

You will have to make a visit to find out what is in the ingredients. Grab a Tub of Chocolate – a dark chocolate hazelnut spread that you can spread it on anything from strawberries to bananas. Dude sweet chocolate has locations in Bishop Arts, Greenville and Fort worth but the location in Plano has the big DUDE sign… need we say more!

Main Street Bakery

How about layers of Heavenly Chocolate Mousse or Chocolate fondant – This Flourless Delicacy is loaded with chocolate and topped with a chocolate ganache…it literary melts in your mouth. Their Almond Cake Topped With Crème Brûlée And Chocolate Mousse, with A Ganache Mirror is a winner for sure. Main Street Bistro and Bakery have locations in Richardson and Grapevine but we love their Shops at Legacy location.

Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream

Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream is a household name in Plano. The ice cream shop opened in Plano over twenty years ago have flavors like Birthday cake, Chocolate Brownie, Black Raspberry to name a few. Their slogan is Ice cream makes you prettySo I’m sure you Valentine will approve a scoop or two. Oh they have Ice cream cakes too!

La Tarte Tropézienne

The famous French bakery known for its Tarte Tropezienne, or Tarte of Saint-Tropez is now in Dallas. Created in 1955 by Saint-Tropez patisserie owner and made famous by actress Bridget Bardot while she was filming in the town of Saint Tropez this tart is a cream-filled brioche bun sprinkled with grains of sugar. The recipe is so guarded and this would be the first time the pastry shop has a location outside of France. That makes it a pretty special Valentine’s treat!

Kate Weiser Chocolate’s creations are almost sinful to eat – each piece is hand-painted and so pretty. Their flagship store is in Trinity Groves and has since expanded the brand to Northpark Center as well as a Holiday Pop Up shop at the Shops at Legacy. We are wishing for a permanent store in Plano. For Valentines, they have heart-shaped chocolates in flavors- Hazelnut Latte, Lavender Apricot, Raspberry, Banana Dulcey, Salted Caramel, Yuzu, Passion Fruit, and Peanut Brittle. Their handmade Katey Trail, Milk and Cookies or Passion Praline candy bars alone are worth the 20 minute drive. Trust me you will want to taste them all, go ahead and get the Snack pack that has all the bars. These one of a kind Dallas desserts can be shipped as well.

Joy Macarons

You probably have it figured out already, I love my macarons.  One of the first stops, when we visit Paris is Ladurée or Pierre Hermé for a box and Joy’s macaroon is where we stop when we are in Greenville. Joy Macarons makes their macarons from the finest available ingredients including freshly-milled almonds, pistachios, Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla beans, local honey and seasonal fruit. Go ahead and share the Joy, they have a pretty tower of 40 macs for under $100! They have locations in Lower Greenville and Oak Cliff.

This specialty pie shop in Bishop Arts District serves up handmade pies that change with the season, we think their Doctor Love which is a red velvet chess pie with the texture of a brownie and flavor of velvet cream cheese will take you Love up a few notches. It is one of the best Dallas desserts!

Kilwins has been around for a while but we have been frequenting the location at Shops at Legacy this past year and we had to add it to our list. From hand-dipped Krispies to Tuttles and Truffles, Kilwins makes it all by hand and always has us wishing we had bought more! They also have original recipe ice cream.

Sweet Equity Bakery

Started by two young men who are passionate about making Cheesecakes and Crème Brûlée, Sweet Equity Bakery is an upcoming bakery in the DFW area. You can find them on Instagram where they take their weekly orders. Made from vanilla bean, their Crème Brûlée are some of the best we have had!

Located in Allen but they deliver for a small fee.

Lorin’s Sweets

I bought some cake pops from Lorin this year and the kids loved it. She makes custom chocolate-dipped strawberries and treats. You can find her on Instagram to order your Valentine treats or other custom made sweets. It is pickup only for now.
